Mariana Arroyo has been a jewelry lover since she was a child. Her mother’s and grandmother’s jewelry were her favorite toys, and her dream was to collect precious stones.
That fascination became a hobby during her adolescence, when she made necklaces with stones, shells and leather to sell to her family’s friends.
Mariana spent hours and hours playing at being a goldsmith, and very soon she became obsessed with the search for her own style: she dedicated herself to inventing her own jewelry.
Later, after studying diplomacy at university, Mariana decided to abandon any other aspiration to devote herself to the passion that had always called her: in Caracas, Venezuela, she was a student and disciple of master jeweler Carlos Graterol, with whom she learned techniques that helped her to shape her artistic interests and concerns.
Currently, Mariana resides in Valencia, Spain, where she has managed to establish her goldsmith workshop. Her hands and mind merge when working with metals of the finest quality and value, and meet in the brilliance of stones and polished metal.
