INSPIRED BY NATURE

The process of creating a piece begins with the inspiration I get from a theme, motif or subject that I am passionate about. Generally they are themes, motifs and subjects of nature.

Hence my love for making leaves and flowers, and soon turtles, ladybugs and who knows where inspiration takes me. I make a sketch and a list of pieces that complement each other and then my favorite part begins, setting stones, fretwork the metal, anneal it, inlay it and give it the desired shape.

FEELING THE MATERIALS

The metal itself is asking me for shapes and may make me rethink my first design idea. I love working this way because I feel like I am the artisan listening to what the material is meant to be.

Of course, in my process there are many designs that do not go on sale or that are so special that they stay directly in the hands of my best customers. Pieces so special that I can’t make them again because sometimes the magic can’t be recreated and that’s what happens with one-of-a-kind pieces. They are treasures that only one person should possess.
